Indian Institute Of Architects

We've been based here in the Raja Annamali Building for quite some time now. Our office is up on the third floor, specifically door number four. If you know where Rani Meyyammai Hall is in Egmore, we're right near that. It's a pretty busy part of Chennai, but we managed to get a spot that works for what we do. The Indian Institute Of Architects isn't just about one person; it's a bunch of us working together. Most days, you’ll find us sorting through blueprints or talking about different projects happening around the city. We spend a lot of time on Rukmani Laksmipathi Road. It’s not a fancy setup, just a practical space where we can get the work done without too much fuss. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, so we end up taking the stairs. We try to keep things organized, though it gets a bit cluttered with all the maps and drawings laying around. People stop by to ask about memberships or just to see what’s going on with local building rules. We don't really do much advertising. Most folks find us because they need help with the technical side of planning. It’s just how things go here in Egmore. We have our routine, we drink our tea, and we handle the daily tasks as they come. It is what it is, a place for architects to gather and handle their business in this part of town.
