Indian Bank

The office is over at No. 31 Rajaji Salai. Most people around here just know us as Indian Bank. We've been in this spot for a good while now, handling the daily money stuff that comes through the door. It gets busy in the mornings, especially when the doors first open and everyone wants to get their banking out of the way early. We deal with a lot of different things, like savings accounts, people coming in for loans, or just checking on their balances. The building itself has its own character, sitting right there on the main road. It isn’t some fancy, high-tech glass tower, just a regular place where work happens. Our staff shows up, pulls up a chair, and gets to it. Sometimes the lines get a bit long, but we try to keep things moving as much as we can. It’s mostly about keeping the records straight and making sure the transactions go through without a hitch. People stop by for all sorts of reasons. Some have been coming here since they were young. It’s just how things are in this part of town. We keep the paperwork organized and make sure the vault is secure every night before we head home. There’s always someone at the counter ready to look at a passbook or help with a form. It’s a steady kind of job. We just focus on the task at hand and try to be helpful.
