Our place is located at No.1 Puduchatram, which you find by going via Thirumazisai on the Thiruvellore High Road. It’s a bit of a drive out there, but once you get used to the route, it’s not too bad. India Japan Lighting has been operating from this spot for a while now. The High Road is always busy with lorries and buses, so there’s a constant hum of engines in the background. We spend our days working on various lighting products. The facility is large and can get a bit warm during the summer months, but we have enough fans going to keep it tolerable. It’s not the kind of place where people wear suits; we are mostly in practical clothes because there is real work to be done. We have a lot of different sections for different tasks, and it can be a bit of a walk from one end to the other. Sometimes the power goes out, which is common enough around here, so we just wait it out or switch to the backup. It’s a steady environment where everyone knows what they need to do. We don’t really do much talking about fancy concepts or stuff like that. We just come in, do the work, and make sure things are moving out the door. It’s a simple life out here in Puduchatram, away from the main city chaos. We just focus on the day’s schedule and try to stay organized.
