You can find us at India Clocks And Signs on Jones Street in the Mannady area. We are on the first floor of the building at new number 65. The old number was 29, just in case you're looking at an older map. Mannady is a very old and crowded part of the city, so there’s always something happening right outside our window. We make clocks and signs, and our workspace is filled with different materials and half-finished projects. It’s a hands-on kind of job. Some days are spent cutting letters for signs, and other days we’re looking at clock movements. It’s not a high-tech facility, just a place with the right tools for what we do. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit steep. We’ve been here long enough that we don't really think about the noise or the heat anymore. We just get on with the work. We don't use any fancy words to describe ourselves. We just make things that people need for their shops or homes. Most of our customers come from the nearby markets. It’s a practical business and we keep things simple. We like being part of the local community here in Mannady. It feels like we are part of the history of the street. There are always boxes stacked in the corner waiting to be picked up.
