Igrade Exim Private Limited

T. Nagar is always crowded, no matter what time it is. Our place is on Venkatnarayana Road, inside the Sucons Padmalaya building. It’s Flat 13, so you have to come up to the office. We’ve been here at Igrade Exim for a while. T. Nagar is famous for shopping, but back here on this road, it feels a bit more like a business hub. The building is an older one, New No 5, and it has that specific smell of old concrete and paper. We do import and export stuff, which basically means a lot of phone calls and emails to people in different time zones. Sometimes I stay late because someone in another country just woke up. The office isn't very big. We have a couple of computers and a printer that jams whenever we are in a hurry. My desk is near the window, but the view is just another building across the street. We usually get our lunch from one of the small messes nearby. The food is spicy and cheap. Working in Chennai means dealing with the sweat, but we have a small fan that helps. We don’t really do anything fancy here. It’s just about moving goods and making sure the numbers on the screen match the stuff in the containers. It’s a lot of coordination and waiting for people to call back. That's just how the day goes for us in the middle of T. Nagar.
