New Street in Chennai isn't actually that new, which is a bit of a joke among us here. We are at No 15/8 and it is a pretty busy spot for a logistics company. There are always trucks trying to navigate the narrow turns around here. Our office is filled with the sound of printers and people talking on their mobiles about container sizes and delivery dates. We have a few desks and a lot of files piled up. It is the kind of place where everyone knows where everything is, even if it looks a bit messy to an outsider. We spend most of our day tracking shipments and talking to drivers. The humidity in Chennai can be really something, so the AC is usually running, though it makes a bit of a rattling noise. We have been doing this for a long time and we have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. We are just a group of people who understand how to move things from one place to another without making a big fuss about it. We don't go in for all those fancy business terms you hear nowadays. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay on top of the paperwork. Sometimes we stay late when a shipment is delayed, just waiting for the call that it has finally arrived at the port. It is steady work.
