Hr Trainee

I’m working as an HR Trainee at 27A, Madurakali Nagar, which is in the Madipakkam area of Chennai. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it feels very quiet compared to the main parts of the city. The office is basically a house that’s been converted into a workspace. I spend most of my day learning how to handle the different files and records that come through. Since I'm a trainee, I’m still figuring out how everything works, from the payroll entries to the initial screening of resumes. There are a lot of folders stacked on the shelves, and it’s my job to keep them organized. Madipakkam is a nice area, but it can get quite flooded when the rains are heavy, so we have to be careful about that. Usually, the day starts with a cup of coffee and a quick chat with the senior staff about what needs to be done. It’s a simple environment, no fancy coffee machines or lounge areas. We just have our desks and a small table for lunch. Sometimes it gets a bit lonely because it’s a small team, but it’s a good place to learn the basics without too much pressure. The neighbors are mostly families, so you hear kids playing outside in the evenings. It’s a very grounded place to start a career. We just take things one day at a time.
