Our shop is right on Ambalnagar Main Road here in Chennai. It’s a busy street, especially in the mornings when everyone is heading to work. House & Building Electrical has been in this spot for some time now. You can usually find us surrounded by wires and various parts. It’s a bit messy, to be honest. We don’t have a big showroom or anything like that. It’s just a practical space where we keep our tools and supplies. Sometimes the traffic outside is so loud we have to shout to hear each other, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We’ve got a small team. We know most of the people who walk past every day. It’s not a corporate office with suits; we mostly wear clothes that we don't mind getting a bit of grease on. Working in electrical stuff means there's always something to fix or look at. Some days are longer than others, especially when the heat hits in the afternoon. We usually grab some snacks from the vendor down the road. It’s a simple life. We just handle the jobs as they come in and try to keep everything organized enough to find what we need. We are around most days if the shutters are up. It’s just how we run things in this neighborhood.
