H.J.R. Tools Mart

We have been running H.J.R. Tools Mart over here at No. 101 Broadway for a good while now. It is a bit of a crowded space because there are so many boxes and shelves filled with metal parts. If you walk in, you’ll see rows of wrenches, screwdrivers, and those big power drills sitting in their plastic cases. Broadway is always noisy outside with the traffic, so we usually keep the door shut, but you can still hear the horns. Most of the time, we are just counting inventory or helping someone find a specific size of nut or bolt that they can't find anywhere else. The lighting inside is a bit yellow, and the floor has some scuff marks from moving heavy crates around. We don’t have any fancy displays or anything like that. It’s mostly just metal and grease. Sometimes the coffee machine in the back acts up, so we go out to the shop next door. People come in with grease on their hands looking for a tool to fix their trucks. We spend a lot of our morning checking the shipments that come in at the back. It’s a lot of lifting and organizing. There is always dust on the top shelves that is hard to reach. We just try to keep things where they belong so we can find them quickly when a customer is in a hurry. It’s simple work, really.
