Hirachand Chordia Eye Hospital

Hirachand Chordia Eye Hospital is located right on Kandappa Street, number 28 to be exact. If you know Sowcarpet, you know how crowded it gets around here. We are right across from the Elephant Gate Police Station. It’s a busy spot with lots of noise from the street. People come in because they're having trouble seeing or their eyes hurt. We have a few rooms where we do the checkups. It’s a practical setup, nothing too modern or flashy. The light in the hallway is a bit dim sometimes, but we make it work. Most of us have been working at this spot for years. We see a lot of people from the neighborhood every day. Some days the waiting room is full and people have to stand, which isn't great, but that's how it goes in a place like Elephant Gate. We don't have a big marketing team. We just open the doors in the morning and wait for the first person to show up. It gets really hot in the afternoons, but we have some fans going. You just walk past the police station and you'll see us there. It’s a simple operation. We focus on the eyes and that’s about it. No fancy words needed. We just stay here and do the work day after day. We have a small table where we keep the glasses people have forgotten. The clock on the wall ticks quite loudly when it’s quiet.
