Hindustan Motorcycles

If you come down to Villivakam in Chennai, you’ll find us working on bikes and scooters all day long. The shop is called Hindustan Motorcycles, and it is usually quite oily and loud. We have been here for a while, and the neighborhood knows us as the place to get a puncture fixed or an engine tuned up. Chennai gets incredibly hot, so working inside a garage with metal tools can be a bit exhausting, but we enjoy the work. We handle all kinds of two-wheelers, from the old models to the newer ones people are riding now. There is always a row of bikes parked outside waiting for their turn to be looked at. Our hands stay greasy, and there are spare parts scattered all over the shelves. It isn’t a polished showroom where everything is shiny and clean. It’s a real workshop where things get repaired. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything. We just rely on people telling their friends that we did a decent job on their bike. Sometimes we run out of a specific part and have to wait a couple of days for it to arrive, but that is just how the business goes. We like being part of the Villivakam community and keeping people on the road so they can get to work.
