We are over at New No. 29 on Kodambakkam High Road, inside Riaz Garden. Most people know the spot because it’s a busy part of Nungambakkam. We’ve been working with granite for quite a while now. It’s heavy work and the yard gets a bit messy with all the stone dust around, but that is just how the stone business goes. We have slabs leaning against the walls and samples sitting on the desks. It isn't a place with fancy lights or carpets. We just keep our stock ready for when someone needs a countertop or flooring. Most days involve a lot of moving things around and checking the edges of the pieces to make sure they aren't cracked. People stop by after seeing the sign on the road. We try to give them a straight answer about what we have and what it costs. Sometimes the traffic outside is so loud you can barely hear the phone ringing, but we manage. It’s a small team here. We handle the paperwork in the back office and the heavy lifting out front. The building itself is an older one, number 3-B in the garden complex. We don't have a big sales pitch. If you need granite, we show you the piles and you can pick what looks right. It’s a practical way of doing things that has worked for us for a long time. We stay busy with the local projects around this part of the city.
