Henkel India Ltd.

Teynampet is usually pretty crowded, and our office at Henkel India Ltd. is right in the middle of it on Cenotaph Road. We are on the first floor in section E of TPL House. It’s an older building, but it holds up okay. The commute is the main thing everyone talks about in the morning because the traffic near Cenotaph Road can be a real headache. Once you’re inside, things are a bit calmer. We have a lot of desks lined up and the lighting is that typical office white that you find everywhere. We spend most of the day looking at computer screens or talking over the partitions. Sometimes the elevators are slow, so a few of us just take the stairs since it’s only the first floor. There’s no big fancy lobby or anything like that here. We just have our space where we sit and do the work that needs doing. There is a small pantry area where the coffee machine is always running. It’s not the best coffee, but it helps when the afternoon slump hits. You can see the trees outside if you stand near the far window, which is nice when the weather isn’t too hot. We’ve got a system for everything, and even if it seems a bit chaotic when you first walk in, we usually know where everything is. It’s just a standard workspace where we put in our hours and then head home.
