Our place is located on Sowrashtra Nagar 5th Street in Choolaimedu. It is a busy little area in Chennai where there is always something going on outside. We spend most of our time looking at broken electrical parts and trying to figure out why they stopped working. It is mostly machinery and equipment that people bring in or ask us to look at. The shop is not anything special to look at, just a lot of wires, testers, and spare bits scattered around on the workbenches. We focus strictly on the servicing side of things. If an electronic component acts up, we open it up to see what is wrong inside. Sometimes the problem is obvious, other times it takes a few hours of poking around with a multimeter to find the fault. It can get pretty warm in here during the summer months, but we keep the fans going and just keep working. We are not a sales showroom with bright lights. We are the guys who get grease on our hands and solder on the table. Most of the people who come here are regulars from around the neighborhood or businesses that know we can fix their gear. We do not do a lot of talking; we mostly just listen to the hum of the machines. There is a certain way things smell when you are working on power systems, a bit of ozone and warm metal. We show up, see what is broken, and try to make it run again.
