Havells India Ltd.

We are over at Havells India Ltd., situated on the 6th floor of the Sigapi Achi Building. It’s on Rukmani Lakshmipathy Road in Egmore, which is a pretty well-known part of town. The building is one of those solid ones that has been around for a bit. Being up on the sixth floor gives us a bit of a break from the street noise below, though you can still hear the traffic during rush hour. The office has big windows, but the afternoon sun can be quite strong in Chennai. We spend our days mostly looking at screens and talking on phones. It’s a typical office environment where things are busy from Monday to Friday. We have a small canteen area where we grab lunch. The neighborhood has a few good spots to eat if you don’t mind a short walk in the humidity. Most people who work here have been with the company for a few years. It’s not about being fancy; it’s just about getting through the workload. The security guards at the main gate are friendly enough once they know your face. We try to keep things tidy, but there’s always a pile of files somewhere. It’s just a standard workspace for a team that has a lot to do. We don't really do anything special to the office, just keep the desks occupied and the lights on.
