Hapag Lioyd Global Services

We are located over in Valasaravakkam, specifically on 4th Cross Street in S V S Nagar. It’s a bit of a residential area in Chennai, which makes it a little different from the downtown office spaces. Hapag Lioyd Global Services is what we call ourselves. The office is at number 6, and we’ve been here long enough that the local shopkeepers know our faces. We do a lot of global support work from this spot. It might seem quiet from the outside, but inside we are usually pretty busy with data and logistics tasks. We aren't a huge operation with hundreds of people in this specific building, so it feels a bit more personal. Sometimes the street gets a little flooded when the rains are heavy, but we still make it in. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy. Most of our work happens on the screens in front of us. We spend our time checking schedules and making sure everything is lined up for the global shipping routes. It’s a lot of detail work that requires a bit of patience. We usually grab lunch from the local places nearby. It’s a decent place to work, and we just focus on doing what’s expected of us every day without making a big deal out of it. There is always plenty to do, and we just keep at it.
