Hajee Ali Enterprises

Hajee Ali Enterprises has a couple of different spots where we get our work done during the week. One of them is over on State Bank Street on the first floor, which is right off Mount Road, and the other is on Pillaiyar Kovil Street in the Triplicane area. We have to move back and forth between these two locations depending on what needs to happen that day. It definitely keeps us on our toes and moving. We handle a little bit of everything in the trade business, which is why we went with the name enterprise. Most of the time, we are dealing with small shipments or meeting with people who are looking for specific items we can source for them. The Mount Road office is where we usually sit down to handle the phone calls and more formal tasks, while the Triplicane spot is much more active with people coming in and out. It is a lot of walking and riding the bike through the traffic. The streets are very narrow in Triplicane, so you have to be careful when you are moving goods. We are not some big corporation with hundreds of employees. It is just a few of us making sure the orders get where they need to go. We spend a lot of time on our feet. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, but we have some fans that help a little bit. We have been part of this community for years.
