Our shop is right in the middle of the electronics hub on Ritchie Street. The address is 2/7 Wallers Road, specifically at 2 Meeran Sahib Street. If you’ve ever been to this part of the city, you know how crowded it gets with people looking for every kind of wire, gadget, and spare part imaginable. I spend my time surrounded by boxes of cameras, power supplies, and DVR units. It’s a very small space, mostly just enough room for the display shelf and a stool for me to sit on during the day. The street outside is always full of motorcycles and carts moving goods back and forth, making it hard to walk sometimes. I’ve been in this spot for a while now, and I’ve seen the street change quite a bit, though it never gets any quieter or less hectic. People come in looking for a way to keep an eye on their own shops or their homes for safety. I show them the different lenses and how the wiring connects to the monitors we have set up. It’s practical, hands-on work. Sometimes the power goes out in the whole block and everything goes dark, which is just part of being on this street. I keep a thermos of hot tea behind the counter because there isn't much time to go out for a break once the morning rush starts. It’s a busy life here, but I like being right where the action is in the local market.
