Our office is at No. 15/7, which is also sometimes called 6/10, on Prof. Subramaniam Street in Kilpauk. Kilpauk is one of those parts of Chennai that has a lot of history and character. The streets can be a bit tight, and finding a spot for a car is always a bit of a challenge on Prof. Subramaniam Street. We are in an older building that has thick walls, which actually helps keep it a bit cooler when the sun is beating down. Inside, it’s just a standard workspace. We have a few computers, a printer that jams every now and then, and plenty of files. We deal with international trade, so there is usually a lot of paperwork regarding customs and shipping lines. We don’t have a big sign outside, just a small one so people know they’ve found the right place. The team here is small, and we’ve all been doing this for long enough that we don’t need much supervision. We just know what needs to be done each morning. There’s a lot of back and forth on the phone with various agents. We take our tea breaks together when we can, usually just standing around the small kitchen area. It’s a very normal, everyday kind of place. We aren't looking to grow into a massive corporation; we just like doing our work well and going home at the end of the day. The local grocery store is right across, so it's easy to grab snacks.
