Green Cover

Our office is on 4th Main Road in Gandhi Nagar, which is a nice part of Adyar with plenty of trees. At Green Cover, we spend most of our time thinking about plants and outdoor spaces. It’s not just about putting a few pots around. We are usually knee-deep in soil or looking at irrigation pipes that won't stop leaking. The office is pretty small, but we aren't inside much anyway. Usually, we are out visiting nurseries or checking on how a garden is growing after we finished it months ago. Adyar has a specific feel to it, and we try to make sure our work fits in with the local environment. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy speeches. It’s just us, some shovels, and a lot of sketches of where the trees should go. Sometimes a project goes perfectly, and other times the weather ruins everything we planted in a week. That’s just part of working with nature. We like the challenge of making a small plot of land look like something else entirely. If you come by the office, you might find it empty because we are all at a site in another part of the city. We leave a note on the door usually. We just keep things simple and focus on the dirt and the greens. It's a messy job, but we've been doing it here for quite a while. The mosquitoes can be a problem sometimes, but you get used to that when you work with plants.
