Sri Sai Decorators

Started on Rathnam Street a while back. It's No. 25/13 here in Gopalapuram. Mostly we are busy with setups. Someone's always moving a ladder or untangling some lights. It gets pretty warm in the afternoons, but we just keep at it. People stop by the shop to talk about their plans. We don't have a fancy office, just a workspace where all the stuff is kept. There are stacks of fabric in one corner and some decorative frames leaning against the wall. Sometimes it looks messy when a big job is coming up. Gopalapuram is a busy spot so there's always noise from the street. We usually start early before the traffic gets bad. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting things and making sure everything stays in place. We’ve been at this address for some time now. Rathnam Street is narrow, so parking is always a headache for us. We try to be careful with the equipment. Most days it's just about getting the flowers or the backdrops ready for the next day. Sometimes we stay late when there is a lot to finish. It is just a small group of us working here. We know the neighbors pretty well by now. Life at Sri Sai Decorators is mostly about staying busy and making sure the stuff we bring to a venue looks okay. It’s not a complicated business, just a lot of moving parts and heavy lifting.
