Our office is located at Old No. 22, which is now New No. 41, on Kamaraj Avenue in Teachers Colony, Adyar. Adyar is a busy part of the city, but Teachers Colony is a bit more settled. Kamaraj Avenue has some nice trees that provide shade during the hot months, which we really appreciate. We have a modest office space here. It’s not very big, just a front area for talking to people and a back area for storing all our files. We have been in this spot for a long time, back when the address was still just number 22. Some people still use the old number when they talk about us, which can be funny. Our daily routine is pretty consistent. We come in, open the windows to let some air in, and start going through the accounts. Managing a chit fund requires a lot of attention to detail, so we spend a lot of time staring at spreadsheets and ledger books. We don't have a lot of modern decor. It’s mostly just functional furniture that has been with us for years. The neighbors are friendly, and we often see the same people walking past every morning on their way to work. We take a lunch break in the middle of the day and usually finish up around six o’clock. It is an honest living, and we just focus on doing the work properly without any unnecessary complications or fancy talk. We like being part of the Adyar community.
