Gkr Optics & Eye Clinic is situated in the Corporation Building at 115/63 on Nsk Salai, which many people still call Arcot Road. Being in Kodambakkam means we are right in one of the busiest parts of Chennai. The traffic outside is almost constant, with horns honking and buses rumbling by. Our clinic is inside the Corporation Building, which is a landmark in itself. It’s a bit of a trek up the stairs or through the hallways, but once you find us, it’s a bit calmer. We have rows of frames on the walls and the equipment for testing eyes in the back. It’s a small space, but we make the most of it. There is always someone coming in because their glasses broke or they can't see the signs on the road as clearly as they used to. We don't have a corporate look; it’s more of a family-run feel. We have been here in Kodambakkam for a while and have seen the shops around us change many times. The light in the clinic is bright so people can see the different styles of frames. We don't use any fancy sales talk. We just show people what we have and let them decide. It’s a straightforward business on a very busy Chennai street. We are just Gkr Optics, and we are here whenever the Arcot Road traffic allows you to reach us. It's just eyes and glasses for us.
