You can find us at No. 16 Halls Road in Kilpauk. GJ Overseas isn’t a huge operation, just a small office where we handle international stuff. Halls Road is usually quite busy so there’s always the sound of horns and traffic outside our window. We spend our time on the phone or typing out emails to people in different time zones. The office has some old wooden furniture and stacks of papers that we really should organize better one of these days. It’s just how it is when you’re busy with the day-to-day tasks. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who have been working together for years. We know each other's habits and how we like our tea. Some people think overseas business is all about travel and meetings, but for us, it’s mostly just making sure the paperwork is right and the goods are moving. We’ve stayed in Kilpauk because it’s a central spot and easy for people to reach us. There’s no dress code or anything like that here. We just show up, do the job, and head home when the sun goes down. It’s a simple life and we’re happy to keep things running this way. No one here is trying to impress anyone, we just want to get the shipping details correct for the next batch.
