Our place is at No. 13 Arcot Road in the Lakshmi Nagar part of Porur. If you have ever traveled down Arcot Road, you know the traffic can be a real nightmare most days. We are right there in the thick of it. The shop is a basic setup where we sell various types of clothing. We have been in this spot for a while now and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. Inside, it is usually a bit cooler than the street, but not by much when the door is constantly opening. We have stacks of clothes everywhere and it can take a minute to find exactly what you are looking for. We don't have a fancy marketing plan or a social media person. We just put our stock out and wait for people to stop by. Often, it is people who are just passing through on their way home. We spend our time checking the quality of the stitching and making sure the prices are fair. It is a lot of routine work, like dusting the shelves and re-hanging items that people have tried on. We are a small team and we just handle things as they come. There is no corporate ladder here, just a few of us trying to make a living and keep the customers happy enough to return. It is a simple life and we are okay with that.
