Giri & Co.

Giri & Co. is located at 142, Audiappa Naicken Street. If you’ve ever walked down this street, you know it’s almost always packed with people and activity. Everywhere you look, there are shops and people pushing heavy carts through the crowds all day long. We’ve been at this spot for quite some time now, and the noise is just background music to us. The building itself is old, much like everything else in this part of the city. It’s a bit cramped inside, but we make it work somehow. No lobby or waiting area exists here; it’s just the workspace where everything happens. We start early in the morning, trying to beat the sun before it gets too high. Heat on this street can be really tough once noon hits. Most of our neighbors are doing the same thing, opening up their shutters and sweeping the front steps. We’ve seen many folks come and go from the buildings around 142, but we’re still here. It’s just a small operation. We don’t go in for big advertisements or fancy banners. Usually, people find us because they know someone who knows us already. That’s just the way it works on Audiappa Naicken Street. Coffee keeps us going, along with talking about the weather. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s our life. We’re just Giri & Co. doing what we do every single day and trying to stay busy in the heat.
