Gifterz

Our shop is tucked away on 39 Bharathiyar Street in Anna Nagar West. It is a nice spot, though parking can be a bit of a headache during the weekends. We started Gifterz because there was a lot of empty space on the shelves and we wanted to fill it with things people might need for a party or a friend’s birthday. We have rows of different items, like mugs, small frames, and some toys for kids. It gets pretty crowded in here when a bunch of students come in after school. We spend a lot of time cutting wrapping paper and trying to find the end of the tape roll. The floor is usually covered in little bits of ribbon by the time we close up. We don’t really do fancy displays, we just put things where they fit. Sometimes the air conditioner makes a weird humming noise, but we’ve gotten used to it. It’s mostly just us chatting with neighbors who live nearby. People stop in to grab something quick on their way to a dinner. We try to keep the stock moving so there is always something different to look at every few weeks. It isn't a huge operation, just a local place where we know many of the customers by their first names. We stay open late most nights because that is when people realize they forgot to buy a card or a small gift.
