Leela Light

Our place is located at No. 23 Reddy Raman Street. If you know the area, you know it’s a tight street with plenty of people walking by at all hours of the day. Leela Light has been here for some time now, and we’ve seen the neighbors come and go. The shop front is usually busy, and we have things stacked up wherever they fit. It’s not a showroom where everything is perfectly spaced out, but we know where everything is kept. The staff here mostly grew up around this part of town, so we know the shortcuts and where to get the best lunch. On rainy days, the water tends to pool a bit near the entrance, so we’re always moving things back to keep them dry. We spend a lot of time testing bulbs and fixing wires on the main table in the back. It’s a bit messy with tools and tape everywhere, but that’s how we work. The light from the front window isn't great, so we keep our own lights on all day just to see what we're doing. Sometimes the delivery trucks struggle to get down Reddy Raman Street because it's so narrow, so we end up carrying boxes from the corner ourselves. It keeps us moving. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us who show up every morning, open the shutters, and start checking the inventory. It’s a steady kind of life.
