Our office is up on the 8th floor of The Futura building, Block B, in Sholinganallur. We’re right on Rajiv Gandhi Salai, which most people just call OMR. It’s a big, modern building, but inside our office, it’s just a bunch of us working on computers. Gd Agri Supply Chain and Data Analytics is a mouthful of a name, but what we actually do is look at numbers and figure out how to move food around better. Even though we are in a high-rise, we try to keep things grounded and simple. We aren't the type to wear suits and ties; it's mostly jeans and t-shirts here in our corner of the floor. The view from the 8th floor is nice, you can see all the traffic on the IT corridor, but we spend most of our time looking at spreadsheets and data points. It’s a lot of information, and sometimes it gets a bit overwhelming, but it’s interesting work once you get into it. We’ve been here for a bit now, and we’re still figuring some things out as we go along. It’s not a perfect system, but we’re always trying to tweak the analytics to make more sense for the real world. We order in food for lunch most days and just work through our tasks together. We don't have any big mission statements or corporate slogans on the walls. We’re just trying to use data to help make the supply chain a little less chaotic for everyone involved.
