Ganesh Furniture Makers Arumbakkam

Our workshop is located at No 551/10A on Poonamallee High Road. We are quite close to the Karur Vysya Bank in Arumbakkam. It’s a loud area with all the traffic, but we’re used to it. We specialize in making furniture from scratch. We have piles of wood in the corner and tools scattered around. It’s not a showroom where everything is sparkling clean. It’s a place where real work happens. We get a lot of sawdust on our clothes by the end of the day. People bring us drawings or photos of what they want, and we see if we can build it. We don't use fancy computer programs to design things. We just use a pencil, a ruler, and our eyes. Sometimes we run out of a certain type of polish and have to wait for the supplier to come by. My younger brother handles the polishing while I do the cutting and assembly. We’ve been here for quite some time now. Neighbors often stop by just to chat for a minute while they’re out doing their errands. We don’t have any salespeople; you just talk directly to us. If we’re busy with a saw, you might have to wait a second before we can answer your questions. That’s just the way it is in a small shop like ours. We work hard and try to be fair.
