G. Velukannan & Co.

Our office is at No. 22/11 on Brewary Road in Shenoy Nagar. It’s an old building, and G. Velukannan & Co. has been operating from this same spot for quite a few decades. The stairs are a bit steep and the paint is peeling in some corners, but it feels like home to us. We handle a lot of paperwork and traditional business services here. The desks are heavy wood, the kind they don't really make anymore. We have old filing cabinets that are stuffed full of records going back years. Shenoy Nagar is a nice area, and Brewary Road has its own specific charm. It’s not as loud as the main roads, but we still get plenty of foot traffic. We don't do much in the way of marketing. Most of our clients are people who have been coming to us for years, or their children who now have their own business needs. We use a lot of paper and ink every day. Sometimes the ceiling fan makes a clicking sound that we’ve just learned to ignore. We take a lunch break every afternoon and close the door for an hour. It’s a steady, predictable life. We aren't trying to change the world; we just want to do our work properly and go home at the end of the day. It’s a simple arrangement that has worked for us for a long time.
