We are based out of Chitra Towers on Arcot Road, specifically at No 332-A. If you’re familiar with Kodambakkam, you know that the area near the Trustpuram School can get quite packed, especially when the kids are heading in or leaving for the day. Our shop is right opposite the school, so we see a lot of activity throughout the day. Arcot Road is one of those places that never really sleeps, there’s always a bus or a bike zooming past. Inside the shop, we try to fit as much as we can. We have beds, dining sets, and some office chairs scattered around. It’s a bit of a squeeze to get through the aisles sometimes, but that’s just how it is. We spend a lot of time talking to parents who are waiting for their kids, or locals who are just out running errands. The building itself is a bit older, which gives it some character, I guess. We don’t have a flashy showroom with bright lights. It’s just a regular place where we keep the furniture until someone wants to take it home. Delivering things from here can be tricky with the Arcot Road traffic, so we usually try to time our trips for when the roads are a bit clearer. It’s a lot of manual labor, shifting heavy stuff around, but we’re used to it by now. It keeps us on our toes every single day of the week.
