Friends Offset Calendars

Friends Offset Calendars is located at New No. 39 on Bunder Street in the Parrys area. Anyone from around here knows that Parrys is the heart of the wholesale market. Bunder Street specifically is famous for stationery and paper goods. It’s a very tight street, and during the day, it’s almost impossible to move through with all the handcarts and people. Our place is tucked in among dozens of other shops. We focus on calendars and printing, so our space is usually filled with the smell of ink and the sound of machines running. It’s not a large area, so we have to stack the finished calendars wherever we can find a gap. Sometimes the stacks are taller than we are. We have the old address number 62 and the new one 39, which sometimes confuses people, but we’ve been here so long that most folks know where to find us anyway. It’s a very manual process, checking the alignment and making sure the colors look okay on the paper. We don't have a fancy office; it’s mostly just a workshop with a small desk in the front for taking orders. It gets very busy toward the end of the year when everyone wants their new calendars. We end up working late into the night, drinking a lot of coffee to stay awake and finish the jobs. It’s a hectic place, but there is a good energy to it that keeps us going.
