Our location is out in Tiruvanamalai district, on 2/2 Theenamara Street in Devika Puram. It’s a bit of a trek to get here if you’re coming from the bigger cities like Chennai. Arani is a quiet area, and our setup here at Foxconn International Holdings is fairly straightforward. We aren’t a massive glass-walled office; it’s more of a practical building suited for the work we do. Being in a rural district means things move at a slightly different pace, though we stay busy enough with our daily tasks. We have a lot of local workers who come in every day to help out. The office inside is simple—just the basic furniture and equipment we need. Sometimes the dust from the road blows in if we leave the windows open to catch a breeze, but that’s just how it is. We spend our time managing the local operations and making sure the production or assembly schedules are met. It’s not always easy, especially when parts are delayed or the weather is bad, but we figure it out. We don’t have a lot of fancy decorations or expensive art on the walls. We just focus on the technical side of things and keeping the workflow steady. It’s a place where people work hard and look after their own. It’s just a regular part of the local economy here in Devika Puram and the surrounding area.
