It’s a bit of a tight street, which is typical for this part of Tamil Nadu, but we’ve made it our home for Flsmidth Private Ltd. We don't have a massive glass front or a big lobby area. It’s just a basic, functional building that fits in perfectly with the rest of the neighborhood shops. Mostly, we spend our time managing local operations and making sure the supplies and engineering details are handled correctly for our projects. Villupuram is a busy junction town, and being located here helps us stay connected to all the surrounding regions easily. Inside the office, things are pretty lived-in and simple. There are calendars on the wall, stacks of ledgers, and the smell of tea or coffee most mornings. We aren't big on giving formal speeches or using corporate language. We just do the work that comes in every day. Some of the guys have been working here for many years and know every corner of the place. It’s the kind of office where everyone knows your name.
