Flsmidth (P) Ltd, Chennai

Our place of work is at No.6 in the F Block of the New Police Line. We are in Jothi Nager, Arakkonam. The name says Chennai, but we are actually located in Arakkonam, which is a bit of a distance away. It’s a busy spot because of the police line nearby, so there are always people moving around. The office itself is quite plain. We have the usual desks and a few cabinets for all the records. It's not a big fancy office like you might find in the middle of a big city. We’ve been at this address for a long time and we like the local feel of the place. The weather here is mostly hot, so the fans are always on full blast. We don't have any promotional posters or mission statements on the walls. It’s just a working space. Our team is small and we all live nearby, so the commute isn't too bad unless the trains are delayed. We handle the daily business as it comes in. We don't really do anything flashy. It's just Flsmidth (P) Ltd and we focus on the practical side of things. Most of our day is spent dealing with the paperwork and making sure everything is in order. We know the tea seller around the corner and the other local business owners. It's a very simple, grounded way of doing things. We don't have any big plans to move or change how we work. We just keep going one day at a time.
