Our office is up on the 7th floor of Sakthi Towers, right on Anna Salai. If you know Chennai, you know how packed that area gets. We are in Block 1, using both the A and D wings to keep our equipment and desks organized. It’s a lot of walking back and forth between the wings sometimes. We deal with fire control systems. It's serious work, but we try to keep the atmosphere light in the office. The lift in Sakthi Towers can be a bit slow during lunch hours, so we often just wait it out or take the stairs if we’re feeling brave. Being on the 7th floor gives us a bit of a view of the street, but mostly we are looking at blueprints and safety specs. We have been at 766 Anna Salai for quite some time. The staff knows the local tea stalls pretty well. We spend most of our time talking to contractors and checking on installation schedules. It isn't a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy from morning till evening. There’s always some new regulation or a different type of extinguisher to learn about. We don’t really go in for big advertisements. Most people find us because they need their buildings brought up to code. We just show up, do the inspections, and make sure the sensors are working. It’s a steady rhythm here in the city.
