You can find us over on Periyar Evr High Road. It’s a bit confusing because the numbers changed, so we are at New No. 162, but some people still look for Old No. 936. Farida Leatherware Pvt. Ltd. is basically what it sounds like. We work with leather. It’s a messy, hands-on kind of business. The smell of the material is always there in the building, and you get used to it after a while. We have a lot of machines running and people busy at their stations. It’s not a quiet place. The road outside is always packed with trucks and bikes, so there’s a lot of noise coming from there too. We’ve been at this for a long time. Some of the guys have been here since they were young. We don’t do much advertising because we’re usually too busy with the orders coming in. It’s a lot of cutting, stitching, and checking things over. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that's just part of life here. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything. It's a workspace first and foremost. We just try to keep the quality decent and meet the deadlines. It's hard work, and by the end of the day, everyone is ready to head home. It’s a solid place to work if you don’t mind getting your hands a bit dirty. We just get on with it.
