Factory Warehouse

Factory Warehouse is over in Chennai at New No.9, which used to be Old No.4. People still get the numbers mixed up all the time, so we have to tell the delivery drivers both just to be safe. We are in the 600 011 pin code area of Tamil Nadu. The warehouse is a big, open space. It’s not air-conditioned, so it gets very hot and humid inside, especially during the middle of the day. We have fans, but they mostly just move the warm air around. There is always a lot of dust because of the goods moving in and out. The floor is concrete and has some cracks from years of heavy use. We don't have a fancy front office. It's just a small corner with a desk and a chair where we keep the logs. The noise from the street outside is constant, but inside the warehouse, it’s mostly the sound of things being moved or the heavy doors sliding open and shut. We spend our time checking inventory and making sure the numbers match the paperwork. It’s physical work and it can be tiring. We don't have any big signs or advertisements out front. People who need to find us usually know where we are. It’s just a plain warehouse doing its job in the heart of Chennai, day in and day out.
