The shelves at No:10 on 7th Street are usually pretty full most of the time. We spend a lot of our morning checking the labels and making sure nothing is expired on the racks. Balaji Nagar is a busy area, especially in the evenings when people are heading home from their jobs. They stop by Evegreen Drugs And Surgicals because it’s right on their way home. Sometimes the rain makes the street a bit messy and muddy, but that's just how Alwarthiru Nagar is during the monsoon season. We have a small wooden desk where we do all the billing and paperwork. Sometimes the delivery guys are late and we have to wait around for the boxes to arrive, which can be a bit annoying when you want to get home for dinner. My brother helps out on the weekends when it gets extra crowded with families. We don't have a big neon sign or anything, just enough so people know where we are located. It stays a bit humid in here during the summer months, so we keep the ceiling fan running all day long. Most of the people who come in are regulars from around the corner, so we know their names and what they usually need. It's just a normal job for us. We open up the shop in the morning, sweep the floor, and start the day.
