K. V. T. Speciality Hospital sits across Plots 1, 2, and 3 on Ethirasamy Salai. It’s a busy street, and we see a lot of people coming and going at all hours of the day and night. Being a hospital, things never really stop here. There is always a nurse heading down the hall or a doctor checking charts near the entrance. We tried to make the place as organized as possible, though on busy days, the waiting area can get a bit full. We don't have fancy marketing slogans; we just have rooms, beds, and a lot of medical equipment. Most of the staff has been working here on Ethirasamy Salai for a long time, so they know the neighborhood and the families who live nearby. It’s a practical place where the focus is just on the patients. We deal with a lot of different things, from quick check-ups to more serious stuff that requires staying overnight. The smell of antiseptic is pretty much everywhere, and there’s usually a bit of a rush around shift change. We just try to keep things moving and make sure everyone gets seen. It’s not a glamorous job, and the hours can be really long, but it’s what we do. We’re just a local hospital trying to handle the health needs of the people who walk through our doors every single day. We keep the water cooler filled in the lobby because it gets so humid while people are waiting for their names to be called.
