Eppendorf India Limited

Down in Alwarpet, Eppendorf India Limited has its office at No. 1A in the Kalpatharu Complex. Our office is on the first floor. The address is 44, CP Ramaswamy Road. If you know Chennai, you know this road gets a lot of traffic, especially near the intersections. The complex itself is an older building, and it has that classic look to it. We have a lot of lab equipment and boxes scattered around most of the time. It is not a very quiet office because people are always coming in and out. The stairs are a bit narrow, so we have to be careful when we are carrying equipment up to the first floor. There are plenty of cafes and small shops around Alwarpet, so finding a place for coffee is never an issue. We don’t really have a big fancy lobby. You just walk in and you are pretty much in the middle of the workspace. We spend most of our time dealing with technical specs and customer calls. It’s a lot of detail-oriented work, so the atmosphere is usually pretty focused. We don't have many meetings that could have been emails. We just talk to each other across the desks. It’s a practical setup in a good location that everyone knows. We have been in this spot for several years and most of us are used to the noise and the busy pace of the area.
