Enterprising Enterprises

We’ve been set up here on the Chennai Bangalore Road in Chembarambakkam for a while now. It is a busy spot, mostly because of all the traffic moving between the two cities. If you know this area, you know how the dust and noise can get, but we are used to it by now. The gate is usually open early in the morning. Enterprising Enterprises isn't a fancy place with glass walls or anything. It's mostly just us getting the work done. Some days are slower than others. We spend a lot of time checking the inventory and making sure everything is where it should be. The sun hits the front of the building pretty hard in the afternoons, so we usually keep the shutters halfway down to stay cool. It’s a practical setup. My desk is covered in papers and some old coffee mugs that need washing. We don't really do much in the way of big meetings. Most things just get settled over a quick chat in the hallway or out by the trucks. Sometimes the rain makes the road a bit messy, and we have to clean the floor three times a day. That is just how it goes here. We have a small crew and most of us have been around for years. We know the neighbors and the guy who sells tea down the road. It’s just a normal workplace doing what we do every day.
