T Nagar is always crowded, no matter what time of day it is. We are located on Thirumalai Pillai Road at No 54, a place called Sai Illam. If you know where the Kamaraj Memorial House is, we are basically tucked away behind it. It’s a good spot because it’s a bit away from the main shopping rush of Pondy Bazaar but still right in the middle of everything. We focus on designs for homes, mostly working on how to make things look decent without spending a fortune. Our office isn't anything corporate, just a regular space where we keep our computers and rolls of paper. We have a lot of books and catalogs piled up from over the years. We spend hours talking about colors or where a light should go. It’s a lot of small details that most people might not notice until they are actually living in the house. The heat in Chennai can make site visits a bit tiring, but we manage. We aren’t trying to change the world, just trying to make someone’s living room or bedroom look a little better than it did before. People stop by to show us their house photos and we just sit down and see what can be done. It’s a slow process sometimes, but we prefer taking the time to get the dimensions right rather than rushing through it. There is always tea being made and someone checking a measurement twice.
