You can find us at 7 Prasana Vinayagar Koil Street, over in Aminjikarai. It’s a street with a lot of character, mostly because of the temple nearby. The bells and the morning prayers are part of our daily background noise. Elizabeth International Inc. isn't a massive company with a skyscraper. We’re just a small group of people working out of a modest building. The rooms are a bit dark, but we have enough lamps to see what we’re doing. We’ve got samples and crates taking up most of the floor space. It can be a bit of a maze sometimes when we get a big shipment in. We don't have a formal dress code here. Most of us just wear what’s comfortable for a long day of work. The street outside can get very crowded during festival times, which makes getting trucks in and out a bit of a challenge. We just plan around it. We don’t have a big mission statement on the wall. We just want to get through the orders without too many problems. Sometimes the internet is slow, and we have to wait to send emails, so we take that time to organize the shelves. We’ve been here long enough that we know all the neighbors and the guy who sells snacks at the corner. It’s a decent place to work, and we just keep doing our bit every day. It’s not always easy, but we make it through just fine.
