Simplex Tarpaulin Company has been in this spot for a long time. The shop is usually full of heavy fabric and that specific smell of treated canvas and plastic. It’s a busy part of town, so there is always noise from the street outside. We spend most of the day cutting material or checking orders for different sizes of covers. It’s heavy work and your hands get pretty tired by the end of the shift. The space isn't huge, but we make it work by stacking things high.
