El Forge Ltd.

You’ll find El Forge Ltd over at No. 1 Ramachandra Road. It’s a quiet corner in Nageswarapuram, right in the heart of Mylapore. We’ve been here for quite a few years now. The building is an older one, which gives it a bit of character compared to the new glass blocks you see popping up. Inside, we mostly deal with metal work and forgings, which is a bit of a loud job, but we try to keep it professional for the neighbors. Mylapore is such a historic area, and we’re glad to be a small part of the local economy here. We don't have a massive PR department or anyone to write fancy speeches for us. We just focus on the heat and the hammers and getting the orders out on time. Sometimes the equipment acts up, or a delivery truck gets stuck in the narrow streets, but we manage. Most of our workers have been with us for a long time, so they know the machines inside and out. It’s a tough job, but it feels good to see a finished piece of work ready to go. We keep our doors open for anyone who has business with us. It’s not always pretty, and there’s usually some grease on the floor, but that’s just how it is in a forge. We’re just regular people doing a specialized job right here in Chennai.
