Margston Stone Exports

We are based in Laxmi Nivas, on the first floor of the B-block at 47 Marshalls Road in Egmore. Being in Egmore means it’s always busy outside. You can hear the cars and the people all day long. Margston Stone Exports handles a lot of stone shipments, which means we spend a lot of time talking to quarries and shipping lines. The office has a lot of samples lying around, so you have to watch where you step sometimes or you'll stub a toe. It’s a bit dusty because of the nature of what we do, but that’s normal for us. We’ve been in this building for quite a while. The elevator is a bit slow and makes a weird noise, so most of us just take the stairs to the first floor. It’s a practical workspace, nothing fancy. We don't have a big reception area or any slick brochures. If you come in, you’ll probably see someone on the phone or typing away at a computer. We try to keep the paperwork organized, but with stone exports, there’s always a mountain of it. The tea man comes by twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a short break to relax. It’s just a regular office life in a busy part of Chennai. We keep things simple and just focus on the loads we need to move. There's always a truck somewhere waiting for our call to start loading.
