We spend most of our days here in Room No. 6 on the third floor of Fagun Chambers. It’s a busy building on Ethiraj Salai, and if the elevator is acting up, the walk up the stairs is a bit of a workout. We’ve been at this spot in Egmore for a while now, dealing with all the export and import paperwork that comes across our desks. The office isn't anything fancy, just a practical space where we get things done. Outside, the traffic on Ethiraj Salai is usually pretty loud, but we’ve gotten used to the constant honking. Most mornings start with sorting through files and checking on pending shipments. We have a few desks and some old filing cabinets that have seen better days. It’s just a small team of us working here every day. Sometimes people find it hard to find our specific room number since there are so many offices in this building, but once you know where it is, it’s easy enough. We don't really do much marketing or anything like that, we just focus on the orders we have. Usually, lunch is grabbed from one of the nearby stalls if we didn't bring something from home. It gets pretty warm in the afternoons, but we keep the fans going and just keep moving through the pile of work. It’s a regular job in a regular part of town, nothing more to it than that. We just keep things moving.
