EGB Builders and Architects is over here in Kamarajar Nagar, right on 3rd Cross Street in the Perambur-Vyasarpadi area. We spend a lot of our time looking at blueprints or talking to contractors about why something isn't finished yet. It gets pretty busy around here, especially with the local traffic, but we’ve gotten used to the noise. The office isn't anything fancy, just a place where we keep our files and meet people when we need to discuss a new build. Sometimes we are out in the sun all day checking on a foundation, and other days we are just sitting here trying to figure out a tricky architectural detail on the computer. It’s hard work, and the weather doesn't always help, but we keep at it because people need houses. We don't really do the big corporate talk thing. We just focus on getting the measurements right and making sure the bricks show up on time. If you walk past our place, you’ll probably see a couple of us having tea outside or arguing about a structural drawing. That's just how it goes here in Perambur. We have been in this spot for a while now, and most of the neighbors know us. It’s a decent place to work, even if the stairs are a bit steep and the coffee machine acts up sometimes. We just handle the building stuff and the planning, keeping it simple as we can. Most projects take longer than expected, but we try to keep things moving along regardless.
